Would the owners of these horns, with HUC IDs 9446, 6645, 5591, and 5428 please send me a photo of the serial number and a photo of the valves taken out? I've been cataloging every pre-early-Jupiter KHS stencil I can find, and I keep track of the valve block and serial stamp as these can vary. The only problem with the Google Drive link is only 500 images show up out of the 900 or so that I have.Īfter this long harangue, I have a request. I have also seen a Swallow brand trumpet (another label KHS made horns under) with identical casings and a serial in the same sequence.Īnd photos of the horns to make me look like less of a lunatic: Google Drive The E-flat trumpet is a bit more interesting, and it is marked Melody Maker DeLuxe - the valve casings resemble Conn Connquest, and I have seen a few other Melody Maker DeLuxe horns with the same casings. The cornets are a KHS model that eventually became the 1st-Generation Jupiter SCR-520 in the 1980s, but appeared beforehand under names like Conservarte, Artist, Melody Maker, and Jupiter (with a different logo). The ones in the HUC catalog are KHS stencils, it would seem.
